Kinefinity KineMag Nano Body

199,00 ex Vat

The KineMAG Nano Body is new recording media for the Kinefinity Mavo Edge cameras.

The KineMAG Nano Body is exclusively designed for third-party NVMe-based M.2 SSD and offers heat dissipation, high-speed reading, and data protection for the SSD. After installation of a third-party NVMe M.2 SSD, it can be connected to one of the two camera-specific ports of SSD slots inside the MAVO Edge 8K, which gives you the unparalleled freedom of M.2 NVMe SSD selection.

Description

The new generation KineMAG Nano 1TB is exclusively designed for MAVO Edge 8K cameras. Making MAVO Edge 8K compatible with third-party NVMe-based M.2 SSDs, Kinefinity provides KineMAG Nano Body to adapt to third-party NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs, which also provides users with more economical storage possibilities.

Like the KineMAG Nano 1TB SSD, the KineMAG Nano Body is equipped with an all-metal shell so that it has decent heat dissipation, which provides a necessary temperature condition for high-speed read and writes SSDs. Two high-speed ports are fitted into the KineMAG Nano: a robust camera port that records the footage from MAVO Edge 8K to KineMAG Nano, and a universal USB-C³ port that offloads and backs up the data to the workstation. The USB-C port supports the USB3.1 Gen2 protocol, which allows the KineMAG Nano to offload data to the workstation at a cutting-edge speed of 10Gbps without a dedicated SSD reader.

Dual-Port, SSD Reader Free

The KineMAG Nano Body has two high-speed ports. The first is a high-speed and robust camera port for professional camera recording. Thanks to the PCIe 3.0 interface built inside both SDD slots of the MAVO Edge 8K, Nano Body supports hot-swapping for third-party M.2 SSD and it is more rugged than that of consumer-grade ports, providing a stable and reliable guarantee for the transfer of high-resolution data such as 8K footages. The second port is the universal USB-C USB3.1 Gen2. You can offload the data to the workstation via just one USB-C cable, without the need to purchase an additional SSD reader. It simplifies the steps of data transfer to the workstation.

Thermal Control, Unrivaled Protection

The unique design of the KineMAG Nano Body, which implemented a heat-dissipating plate that can quickly conduct heat and cooling the temperature of the SSD, prevents M.2 NVMe SSD from crashing or data loss caused by excessive temperature.

Extensive Compatibility, Simple to Use

The design of the KineMAG Nano Body makes the installation of M.2 2280 SSD very neat. Just safely remove the four screws on both ends of the Nano Body and insert the M.2 SSD into the built-in PCIe/NVMe slot. Compared with other form factors such as 2242, 2260, 22110, 2280, M.2 2280 SSD is the most widely used form factor for M.2 SSD. There are many M.2 2280 SSD choices from consumer-level to pro-level. Compared with the majority of cine camera manufacturers who do not support the use of third-party SSDs, the compatibility of the KineMAG Nano Body provides users plenty of choices and convenience.

CAUTION:The third-party NVMe M.2 SSD does not have the Read-only and RAID 5 features of the KineMAG Nano 1TB, so the Nano Body cannot provide the two major safety features of the KineMAG Nano 1TB.

CAUTION:The write performance of third-party NVMe M.2 SSDs may not meet the requirements of the 8K or 4K high-speed and high bit rate recording. Therefore, the use of third-party M.2 SSD may cause the instability of recording or other data problems. Only KineMAG Nano 1TB is recommended for MAVO Edge 8K.

1. M.2 interface: A specification for SSD and related connector of computing equipment which replaces the Mini PCI Express and mSATA standards. The M.2 interface SSD is an NVMe/PCIe SSD, not SATA SSD.
2. NVMe protocol: Non-volatile memory host controller interface specification, which is a logical device interface specification. It is a bus transfer protocol specification based on the logical interface of the device, used to access non-volatile memory media attached via the PCI Express bus. The NVMe mentioned in this product is also known as PCIe NVMe Gen3.
3. USB-C port: Formally known as USB Type-C, it is a universal serial bus hardware interface form. The most significant feature of USB-C is that the upper and lower ends of its plug are completely consistent, so there is no front or back for the port. The USB-C port used in this product supports the USB3.1 Gen2 protocol with a transfer speed of up to 10Gbps.
4. RAID 5: RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Hard Disks), is a disk array formed by combining multiple disks. RAID 5 uses redundantly stored parity information to recover data that may be stored incorrectly.

Is KineMAG Nano SSD compatible with Kinefinity cameras before MAVO Edge 8K?

No, because the shape and porta of the KineMAG Nano are newly designed, so it is not compatible with the cameras before the MAVO Edge 8K.

Are there any precautions when installing a third-party SSD?

Commonly used SSD interfaces include SATA, mSATA, and M.2 interfaces. KineMAG Nano Body only supports third-party SSDs with M.2 interface. Please read the relevant instructions of the product carefully before purchasing.

The M Key interface used by the KineMAG Nano Body uses the NVMe protocol. When purchasing a third-party M.2 SSD, please check whether the interface and the protocol channel support the KineMAG Nano Body.

When installing a third-party M.2 SSD, please do not plug in the KineMAG Nano Body, and be careful of static electricity.

Please be careful when inserting a third-party M.2 SSD, try to avoid scratching the PCB of the Nano Body.

The performance of third-party SSDs used on MAVO Edge 8K is not guaranteed. Any frame drop or damaged data caused by the use of non-KineMAG Nano 1TB, Kinefinity will not be able to perform technical analysis and assistance.

How long is the warranty period of the KineMAG Nano Body?

KineMAG Nano Body has a 1-year warranty, and the repair application can be submitted in 1 year from the day of purchase.
