Dulens APO Mini Prime 110mm T2.4

The 110mm extends the APO Mini Prime set into a longer portrait and detail focal length. At the same framing you can work farther from your subject than with the 58mm or 85mm: useful for close portraits, performances and picking out a detail across a set. It changes the working distance rather than turning the lens into a different optical family.

APO correction and the Mini Prime image

Apochromatic correction reduces coloured fringes around high-contrast edges, including the colour separation that can appear in front of and behind the plane of focus. The vintage-series coating leaves room for flare and a lower-contrast image when a bright source enters the lens. Those are separate characteristics: a lens can retain fine detail while stray light lowers overall contrast.

The eleven-blade iris keeps defocused highlights rounded as you stop down. Full-frame coverage comes from a 46.5mm image circle. On Super 35, the narrower field of view makes the 110mm a more pronounced long-lens choice. It is not a substitute for the larger image circle of the Cambrian primes when your sensor extends beyond that coverage.

A longer lens with the same working dimensions

The front remains 80mm, with an M72 × 0.75 filter thread and 0.8 MOD gears. The 110mm is 80mm long and weighs 643g; it is larger than the 68mm-long shorter Mini Primes. A 270° focus throw gives an assistant room for precise marks, and the minimum focus distance is 1.2m.

PL supplied; EF available separately

This lens is supplied with PL. For an EF camera, choose the 110mm-specific Dulens EF mount. Keep the original shims with the lens and check infinity focus after changing the mount. Match the mount to your camera before ordering.
